Belfast International Airport #RoutesEurope Project

We are very proud to have been part of the preparation for the #RoutesEurope conference in Belfast this week. Congratulations to the Belfast International Airport on securing 6 new routes to Europe as a result!

Our brief for this project was to showcase the best of Northern Ireland and provide a warm welcome to the delegates as they arrived at the airport.

With this in mind, our design team took the brand and used some of our most loved landmarks to show the delegates what Northern Ireland has to offer.

We then produced a range of products for the welcoming area in the airport – exhibition stands, banners, wall graphics, printed flooring, signage and pillar wraps.

Our team did a fantastic job bringing everything together from concept to completion. Click through the gallery below to see our favourite parts of this project.

Marketing campaign for Mervyn Stewart

One of our favourite projects at the moment is a cross media marketing campaign for the new Mervyn Stewart ŠKODA showroom in North Down.

In January, their marketing manager Nikki approached us with a problem. They were hosting a launch event at their new showroom, but their current system for marketing events was frustrating and time consuming.

Their previous process was to send a generic email to their customers. They then had to coordinate several agencies to design, print and distribute a direct mail leaflet. They also had to call every customer to see if they would actually be attending, as there was no way to collect RSVPs with this method.

Our solution:

We proposed a solution to streamline the process using our Cascade Cross Media system, which combines web, email and print marketing into one system. It enables marketing campaigns to run seamlessly across multiple channels and types of media – that’s why we call it “cross media” marketing!

The campaign included a personalised email invite and direct mail postcard that directed invitees to a personalised website, where they could RSVP. Because the whole system is linked to the customer database, the website was able to autofill customer data.

We also built an admin portal on the website where Nikki could manage and add details of all attendees, keeping all the information easily accessible in one place. The system was perfect for the Mervyn Stewart team, as it took away the frustration of having to coordinate so many processes to promote their event, and gave them more control over the management side of the event.

The launch event is happening until Saturday 1st April. To RSVP visit rsvp.mervynstewart.com and if you think our system could help take the stress out of your next event then get in touch here.

Minprint’s Display Department is Expanding!

Landscape_Colour_PNG

“Minprint Holdings Limited has received Invest NI Selective Financial Assistance in support of its investment and growth plans. Part financed by the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme for Northern Ireland 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. This project aims to assist the company in expanding its current manufacturing capability.

The company has identified growth opportunities which can be met through the purchase of a super wide format LED UV printer to give it additional capability by producing high quality display products not currently achievable with current hardware. The printer will allow the company to print on a variety of substrates (including textile) at various thickness, to produce a range of wide format graphics including floor and wall graphics that can be used across a variety of sectors.”

We are very excited to announce that we are opening a second premises, and our signage, exhibition and display department is expanding as we merge with Alpine Signs Ltd!

It’s been two years since we bought our first large format flatbed printer, and a year since we bought our flatbed cutter. Since then, we have seen a massive increase in the demand for signage, exhibition and display, which is why we felt it was the right time to expand this department.

Our new 8000 sq. ft. premises is on Prince Regent Road, just a few minutes away from our current premises on Castlereagh Road. Our current signage, exhibition and display team will be merging with the team from Comber-based Alpine Signs, one of NI’s best sign makers and vehicle branding experts.

This merger will allow us to expand our large format print capabilities and enable us to create a higher standard of bespoke display, signage, vehicle branding and exhibition items to meet growing demand from our customers.

The new premises will give us the space to install some amazing pieces of equipment to grow our production capacity. (check out the video below of our 3.2m roll to roll printer being installed!)

We will also have the space for a showroom area where we will have a range of our exhibition, signage and display items on show! The space will also allow us to spread our wings towards large scale corporate signage which is very exciting!

Our 3D designer Joseph and our graphic designer Neill are also moving to the new premises with the large format team. They will be on hand to provide photorealistic 3D visualisations and designs for displays, exhibitions and signage. This gives us a unique ability to show our customers their products in-situ before we even start printing!

The team is working very hard to get everything set up, as you can see from the photos we have made a lot of progress in the last week alone! The team will be moving next week, so we hope to be up and running in the next few weeks and we plan to be at full production capacity before Christmas!

Find out more about our exhibition and display products at http://www.minprint.co.uk/exhibitiondisplay/, and if you are interested in seeing what we can do for you, give us a call on 02890705205 or email sales@minprint.co.uk and we would be happy to give you a grand tour of our new second home!

Oakfield Park – Job of the Month

This month’s featured job was quite a challenge, and we loved every minute of it!

Oakfield Park is a five phase property development on Jordanstown Road, just outside Belfast. We were tasked with creating and developing a brand identity for the development, devising online and offline marketing strategies, designing 3D CGI renders of the properties, and designing and printing the marketing material.

Our design team took this job and ran with it, creating a stunning brand identity and brand toolkit for the client. They also designed some beautiful marketing material for print and display, including the following:

  • Development overview brochure
  • Phase One homes specificaton brochure
  • Bespoke brochure folders
  • Promotional flyers
  • Postcards
  • Roll up banners
  • Site signage
  • Outdoor advertising campaign (billboard and Adshel)

Our cross media team also pulled out all the stops and created the following:

  • Design and build of a ‘sneak peek’ website for the development
  • Design and build of a full website for the Phase One release
  • Purchaser management online system
  • Email marketing system
  • Digital and social media marketing
  • Aeriel photos and videos using our DJI Phantom 3 drone

With so many elements to work with, it was key that we had a clear marketing strategy to help tie everything together, so our marketing experts devised a marketing timeline using a staggered approach to encourage maximum visibility both online and offline.

This job encompassed almost every aspect of what we produce here at Minprint, and we are very proud of the results we have achieved so far. The project is still ongoing and we hope that we can continue to provide outstanding results for our client.

If you would like to find out more information about Oakfield Park, check out the website here, and follow the Facebook page here to keep up to date with the development.

Augmented Reality at W5 – Job of the Month

In June, we had one of our most exciting jobs yet –  helping W5 create an immersive Augmented Reality experience!

If you’ve been following the craze of Pokémon Go in the last few weeks then you’ll know all about AR technology, but if not don’t worry, it’s very simple; Augmented Reality (AR) is a new technology that superimposes computer generated images onto the real world, bringing CGI to life in front of your eyes! W5’s AR experience brings dinosaurs to life all around you, putting you right in the centre of the action.

For this project, Minprint created a wall backdrop with a one way viewing window, so that visitors could try out the AR spectacle uninterrupted on one side, and other visitors could see what was going on from behind the wall. Our CAD designer, Joseph, took the original concept and developed visualisations of the wall (pictured below), and created the technical specifications for the build. It was built and assembled by our production team and finished with highly durable vinyl prints. The finished product looks incredible and really adds to the spectacle!

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, we also gave other areas of W5 a massive makeover – we installed full printed floor and wall graphics in several areas, as well as large hanging photo structures. Check it out for yourself to get the full experience – just make sure you don’t get eaten by a T-Rex!

You can find more info about the AR experience on W5’s website: http://www.w5online.co.uk/whats-on/events/item/130/augmented-reality/

NIFMA / WBFMA Fitness Model Championship backdrop sponsored by Go Get Print

This month Minprint & Go Get Print sponsored the Northern Ireland Fitness and Model Agency (NIFMA) for their Mr & Mrs Fitness Model Championship at the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick, where 100 competitors took part in the Mr & Miss Fitness Model Championship.

They needed tickets and a large stage backdrop for their event that could be quickly erected and dismantled on the day by one person.

We chose our popular T3 hardware system which was ideal because of the speedy tool-less assembly. The graphic panels were printed on a stoplight rollable media for ease of transportation (however Forrex Foam PVC panels would look even better!).

Our UV flatbed print leaves a lovely semi-matt finish with no need to laminate for the flash photography and the digital cutting table provides precision for the panel to panel registration on the stand.

May Job of the Month

Our in house production never stops!

In a new twist in print production, we have expanded our capabilities into the world of small run packaging. One of our first jobs was the Go Get Print box production in which, some very lucky people received a promotional box highlighting our new Go Get Print service.

With the success of our campaign and positive feedback received on these boxes, our eyes turned to the next job and produced the Friends of the Cancer Centre Family Favourites recipe book – our selected May’s Job of the Month!

From start to finish, our Design, Print and Display persona, quite literally was put into practice for this great work. The design of the recipe book from our designers proved a hit and continued throughout the finished product. Our new packaging and display solution is the ultimate way to show off the recipe book.

Below is a small demonstration of our Go Get Print Welcome box. We now have the facility to virtualise your packaging requirements with a pre production 3D PDF, complete with the artwork of your product.

March Job of the Month

March proved to be a very busy month indeed in Minprint!

Our top pick of the jobs is one we designed and printed, the new Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Visitor Guide 2015 prints, complete with the new branding of the super councils, Visitors Map A2 to A5 & an A5 116 paged book!

This friendly, colourful and easy to read guide, gives the perfect opportunity to display all the events and local things to do around the Lisburn and Castlereagh area – perfect for attracting all the tourism to the area! With a nice finish to the print, the Council were delighted with the end product.
